Now we just have to wait for the lilacs, which are about 2-3 weeks away!
They are my all-time FAVORITE purple blooms!!
I've actually been in a kind of purple mood myself the past little while. Not much quilting or sewing happening, but I have put my knitting needles to work! Here is a little top knitted in the Onion Super Merino yarn. It's knit in size 6 months to one year, but the pattern goes all the way up to 6 years. It still needs blocking, but I think it turned out ok. I haven't knit a pattern that required so much concentration in some time, so I found it quite a challenge! But then again, it's always good to give yourself a few challenges, right?!
Hope you've all had a great weekend!
Cheers! Mary Ann

Oh look, http://exuberantcolor.blogspot.com/ She has the same flowers in her backyard in Illinois!
Ohh thankyou thankyou for showing the wonderful flowers... :o)
I'm sure you will love your lilacs when they come. We have very few lilacs here in Arkansas. Our winters generally do not get cold enough but there are a few around. You always know we had a long enough cold spell if we have tulips and lilacs!

Lovely!
Wow! so beautiful pics you've got! I'm a "purple" girl too, and I am so found of that color! A college of mine once told me, every creative person, have some purple in their life. Purple says creativity:o) And I totally agree!
My favorite one of your flowers, are the forget-me-nots. I really love them!
Have a beautiful Spring week:o)

What an outstanding post! The flowers are beautiful and I love the way you incorporated a craft project into the color scheme. Thanks for sharing with us.
Spring is the best time of year - your flowers are beautiful and so is the little top you've knitted. Autumn has well and truly arrived here - not looking forward to winter (although it's much milder than winter in Denmark).
What beautiful photos! Aren't the spring flowers just wonderful.
Love that little sweater - lucky him.
Halló Mary Ann . . .
Your garden is a wonderous place . . . apart from all the growth the most wonderful thing is all the places you have created to sit down . . . and the wonderful precious animals . . . your garden is a nice place. Almost a year since I sat there with you :O)
Lovely colors and the DJ bag is unique. My sister says the weather is so good . . . hopefully so also down in Holbæk . . Greatings from Iceland to you and Kim and the wonderful animals . .

Hi Mary Ann,
So lovely those shades of lilac/purple. It's the time of the year to enjoy it.
Funny................I have the same plants in my garden.
I love blue flowers, wonderful photos, and wonderful flowers you have in your garden
Those blues and purples are just gorgeous. The knitting is lovely too in that beautiful colour, and well worth all the concentration! I love purple.
